THE APPLE

Updated: Apr 6, 2021

The apple will always be a metaphor for desire, which is why the choice of "The woman who drew apples", for the title of one of my autobiographical adventures, I look for an analysis of my journey. The apple interpreted the attempt to express an approach to the first stage of desire, the desire that is awakened in us but fed by our unresolved traumas.

However, this time, I am not talking about the apple, referring to the sensual or sexual desire, of relationship or partnership, of complicity, but the desire for power.

Ultimately, every desire contains the shadow of a thirst for power, whether in a relationship, in a position, in money or material comfort, on excessive of food, or dependence in any of its forms. When we dive into the root of evil, we find sin, the seven deadly sins, are forms of desire, are the seven mortal desires, the apples of the tree of good and evil, in the center of paradise.

I reflect this in James 1: 13-15, "13 When someone is under trial, let him not say,“ I am being tested by God. ” For, with bad things, God cannot be tested, nor does he prove it to anyone.14 However, each one is tested by being attracted and seduced by his own desire.15 So desire, when it becomes fertile, gives birth the sin; and sin, when consummated, produces death.

The root of evil is a desire and it is manifested by the seduction of desire, Satan who incarnates the serpent in Genesis, Lucifer who revolts his brothers, even angels gave in to the same sense of losing respect for themselves, for their intrinsic value in exchange for the promise of the ego, the projection of its desire to consider themselves more than what it contains.

Lucifer's desire to take the place of God arose from the cultivation of an obsessive thought, which made fertile in him the desire for pride and vanity to be more than his father, to supplant him by what he considered to be a natural right, generating sin.

All sin leads to death, in the philosophical and physical sense, kills innocence, destroys its intrinsic value that is lost when the center becomes the outside instead of the inside, which would make you feel sufficient and happy with your life. identity, without the need to create personas, external masks that justify the transmutation in power, this transmutation that ignores the center, the essence, and that only relies on the ego generates death.

This passage always reminds me of “Lost Canvas”, or the Lost Screen, an anime that results from the "spin-off" of master Kurumada, of the Knights of the Zodiac. A black series, where the story of the love between Alone and Saori, which involves the Shrine of the Twelve Houses once again, reveals to us the doom of the character that becomes Hades.

Hades' love for Pandora, a mythical creature who begins by being sweet and fragile and becomes the trigger for Alone's change into Hades.

Alone was a young painter brother of Saori, the two are chosen to embody the spirits of Athena and Hades, mortal enemies, the first goddess of democracy and guardian of the 12 houses of Justice, and Hades, lord of the underworld and death.

Hades' intrinsic value is transformation and purification, but his earthly passion for Pandora awakens his darkest side. The awakening of desire occurs with a kiss of blood, when Pandora bites his lip and brings him to the knowledge of good and evil, the descent into the hells of his own soul.

She loses her love, and becomes dependent on him, in a totally narcissistic or toxic relationship.

The story ends with the defeat of death, with the celebration of courage by Saint Seya, the knight of Pegasus, lord of the armor of Sagittarius, who is alias the hero of these mythological and zodiacal adventures.

The demonic couple ends up defeated by their weaknesses, vanity, and pride, yet it is the obsession with the perfect or lost picture that starts Alone's path in becoming Hades, his obsession with perfect rule makes him the tyrant and awakens the 88 spectra, the negatives of the 88 constellations.

On my way from the tail of Aries to the head in Libra, I will always say that leaving the mind is also leaving the ego, from house 1 to house 7, from the inside out, trying to get out of my will to listen to others, to learn, be the apprentice, to be able to balance.

In sum, find discernment and wear Libra's armor, the most demanding because it requires a commitment to the strength of its opposite, the quick and assertive decision, to be the master of the scales, to be finally, the natural judge, the holistic mediator.
